What is a Factory Reset?

Last updated 8 July 2026

A Factory Reset is a process that restores your device to its original default settings, erasing all current configurations and user data. This is useful when troubleshooting persistent issues or preparing the device for a new user.

What Happens During a Factory Reset?

  • All custom settings, such as Wi-Fi configuration, user accounts, device names, schedules, and linked locations will be permanently removed.

  • The device will return to the original out-of-the-box state.
